Bernd Holtkamp had a passion and vision for Brak en Jan, this lead to funds being raised and the involvement of Munich Technical University.

Munich Technical University Students challenged to design the environmentally friendly building as part of their final 2008-2009 year course.

Land donated by Methodist Church

R 1.5m raised in Germany, 30% from the University, the balance from private donations.

Munich University Students came from Germany to Stellenbosch to build the creche April-May 2009

The Green Building has Solar Panels providing Under floor heating in all classrooms
